Terms of sale and use

These terms apply when you use blackshieldsupply.com or buy from us. Black Shield Supply is a trade name of Oxcart Holdings, LLC, a Florida limited liability company ("we," "us"). By using the site or placing an order, you agree to these terms, our Privacy policy, and our Shipping, Returns and State restrictions pages, which are part of these terms.
1. Who can buy
You must be at least 18 to use this site or buy from us, and at least 21 to buy ammunition or any item marked 21+. When you place an order, you confirm that:
- the information you give us, including your date of birth, is true;
- you're legally allowed to buy and possess what you order where it's being delivered, and no federal, state or local law prohibits you from possessing it;
- you're buying for yourself or as a lawful gift, not for anyone who couldn't legally buy it.
We don't sell firearms or armor-piercing ammunition.
2. Your responsibility for local laws
Laws on firearm parts, magazines, ammunition, knives and accessories differ by state, county and city. We block shipments we know are restricted (see State restrictions), but our lists can't cover every local rule. You're responsible for knowing and following the laws where you live and where your order is delivered. If we learn an order can't legally ship to your address, we'll cancel it.
3. Orders and acceptance
We review every order before it ships. An order is accepted when we approve it, not when you place it or receive an order confirmation. We may refuse, limit or cancel any order, including after your card is authorized, for example if an item is unavailable, can't ship to your address, appears to be fraudulent, or contains a price or description error. If we cancel, the hold on your card is released and you're not charged.
4. Prices, descriptions and errors
Prices and stock can change at any time; your cart and checkout always show current prices, shipping and tax before you pay. Product descriptions, specifications and images come largely from manufacturers. We work to keep them accurate, but errors happen, and images may not show the exact item. If a product is listed at the wrong price or with wrong information, we may cancel the order even after it's confirmed.
5. Payment and charges
When you place an order, your card is authorized (a temporary hold) for the order total. You're charged only for what ships: we complete the charge once, when we approve your order, and if part of it can't be filled, you're charged only for the items we ship. If nothing can ship, we cancel the hold and you're not charged. Your bank decides how fast a released hold disappears from your statement, usually a few business days.
You pay on Authorize.net's secure payment page; we never see or store your card number. Checkout uses a bot check (Cloudflare Turnstile) to stop automated orders.
If any item in your order requires an adult (21+) signature at delivery, we add a $5.00 adult-signature fee to shipping, once per order. It applies even when shipping is otherwise free, and it's taxed like shipping where shipping is taxable. The product page and checkout show it before you pay.
If you have a problem with a charge, please contact us first; we can usually fix it faster than a card dispute.
6. Shipping
We ship only to the 50 U.S. states and Washington, D.C. Some items can't ship to PO boxes, Alaska or Hawaii. Delivery details, costs and times are on our Shipping page.
7. Returns
Returns follow our Returns page: 30 days from delivery for unused items in original packaging, with a return authorization from us first. Items priced $500 or more returned for non-defect reasons, and any item not returned in resalable condition, may be subject to a restocking fee of up to 15%. Original shipping isn't refunded, and you pay return shipping unless the item arrived damaged, defective or wrong. Ammunition and custom-finished items are final sale.
8. Export
Many of our products, including some optics, lights, lasers and firearm parts, are controlled by U.S. export laws. We don't ship outside the United States, to freight forwarders or to package reshippers. You agree not to export, re-export or transfer any product in violation of U.S. law. We'll cancel any order we believe is meant for export.
9. Product use and safety
All firearm parts and accessories should be installed by a qualified gunsmith who is familiar with your firearm's make, model and platform. Some parts need fitting, and fit can vary between manufacturers and production runs. If you install a part yourself, you're responsible for having the knowledge, skill and tools to do it correctly, for following the manufacturer's instructions, and for function-checking and safety-checking the firearm before you fire it. If you're unsure, stop and take it to a gunsmith.
Some parts may not be legal or suitable for every firearm or every place. You use our products at your own risk, and to the extent the law allows, we're not liable for damage or injury caused by improper installation, modification, misuse or illegal use.
10. Warranties
Products are covered by their manufacturers' warranties, if any; we'll help you contact the manufacturer. We don't add our own warranty. To the extent the law allows, the site and its content are provided "as is," and we disclaim all other warranties, express or implied, including merchantability and fitness for a particular purpose. Some states don't allow these disclaimers, so they may not apply to you.
11. Limitation of liability
To the extent the law allows, our total liability for any claim about a product or order is limited to the amount you paid for that product, and we're not liable for indirect, incidental, special or consequential damages. Nothing here limits liability that can't be limited under applicable law.
12. Indemnification and hold harmless
You agree to indemnify, defend and hold harmless Oxcart Holdings, LLC and its owners, employees and agents from any claims, losses, damages and costs, including reasonable attorneys' fees, that arise from: (a) your breach of these terms; (b) your violation of any law; (c) false information you give us, including about your age or your eligibility to buy or possess an item; or (d) your installation, modification, misuse or illegal use of any product you buy from us, including by anyone you let use it.
13. Using the site
The site's content, including text, images, logos and the Black Shield name, belongs to us or our licensors. Product names and trademarks belong to their owners; we use them only to identify products. Don't copy, scrape or misuse the site, use bots or automated tools against it, or interfere with its security or operation. We may block access that does.
14. Governing law and disputes
These terms are governed by Florida law, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules. Any dispute will be heard in the state or federal courts for Brevard County, Florida, and you agree to their jurisdiction. Either of us may bring a qualifying claim in small claims court.
15. Changes
We may update these terms; the date above shows the latest version. The terms in effect when you place an order apply to that order.
